MOTORCYCLE CHANNUKIA

A folding Menora is in the sidecar. The front contains etched writing that reads, “These lights are sanctified.” When it is removed, a stand for Shabbat candles is revealed. The motorcycle’s fuel tank serves as an oil container for lighting the candles. There is a storage container between the rear wheel and the motorcycle seat, containing a lighter for lighting candles.
The engine parts come apart into two spinning tops (dreidels). The fuel tank bears the “Harley-Davidson” logo and the words
“Jerusalem 5767” in Hebrew and English.
Hand crafted, 925 sterling silver.

Exhibited in the "Chains of silver" (רתוקות הכסף) exhibition at the Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Museum Ramat Gan, Israel, 2012.
