TU BISHVAT - New Year of the trees

Tu B'Shvat is the New Year for trees.

Tu Bishvat occurrs on the 15th day of the Hebrew month Shevat . It is also called Rosh HaShanah La'Ilanot (ראש השנה לאילנות‎), literally 'New Year of the Trees'.
Nowadays in Israel
, the day is celebrated as an ecological awareness day, and trees are planted in celebration.
Tu Bishvat is also signified by the blossoms of Almond trees.
